Membership Requirements
As part of our commitment to maintaining an organized and effective learning environment, please adhere to the following membership requirements:
-
Fees: Enrollment and term fees must be paid prior to the commencement of the term. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please discuss this with the facilitator before the due date.
-
Parent Helper Commitment: Each family is required to be rostered on as a parent helper each term. If you are unable to attend your rostered day, it is your responsibility to arrange a swap with another parent and notify your child’s facilitator. Failure to fulfill your rostered obligation will result in session cancellation without a make-up session.
-
Punctuality of Rostered Parents: Rostered parents must arrive at the centre on time. Parents cannot leave the premises until the rostered parent arrives. Failure to meet this obligation may result in removal from the program.
-
Communication: Facilitators use WhatsApp for regular communication with parents. Please download this app and monitor the group chat frequently.
-
Confidentiality: All matters concerning children other than your own are confidential. For any concerns, please approach your child’s facilitator directly.
-
Timeliness: Ensure you are on time for both drop-off and pick-up. If you are running late, contact your child’s facilitator. A late pick-up fee of $5 per 5 minutes will apply.
-
Absences and Illness: Notify your child’s facilitator if your child will be absent. Children should not attend if unwell, and if a child shows signs of illness, you will be required to collect them immediately.
Students
-
Toilet Training: Children must be toilet trained and independent in toileting. We do not accept children in nappies or pull-ups. We will inform you if your child has soiled themselves.
-
Language: Children must be able to speak and/or understand English.
-
Footwear and Clothing: Children must wear closed shoes at all times (no thongs, open sandals, or slippery shoes). Provide a hat or jacket if the centre has outdoor space. Sunscreen must be applied before arrival as we do not supply it.
-
Snacks and Supplies: Provide a healthy snack (e.g., cheese, yoghurt, fruit, healthy sandwich) and water in a clearly labelled drinking bottle. A change of clothes must be included in your child’s bag, also labelled.
-
Families
-
Fundraising and Extracurricular Activities: Families are asked to participate in fundraising events and are encouraged to join extracurricular activities such as excursions to the mosque or centre events.
Ceasing Membership
-
Notice and Fees: If you wish to withdraw your child from the program, you must provide 4 weeks' notice. A cancellation fee of $100 will apply once the term has commenced. The enrollment fee is non-refundable.
Program and Staff
- Please note that our program differs from government-run kindergartens. We may ask you to withdraw your child if their behaviour negatively impacts others or if they are not ready for our program due to inability to follow instructions, use the toilet independently, or display violent or aggressive behavior. In such cases, a portion of your fees will be refunded based on the sessions attended in the term.
- Maintaining open communication with your child’s facilitator will ensure the best possible transition into our program.
